Prete was a founding member, actor and producer for the company. Productions include: Still/Waiting for Lefty, which juxtaposed the original text of Clifford Odets’ Waiting For Lefty, with original material based on actual HUAC committee testimony; Pilgrims, adapted from Elizabeth Gilbert’s acclaimed book of the same name...
...Baleville and Other Unknowns an original play written by company members; The Death of Ivan Illych, a multi-media adaptation or Leo Tolstoy’s novella. When Half Gods Go, a staged reading of an original play by Joe Roland.

Prete also collaborated with the company as a drama coach. Performing internationally, YSDT aims to inspire trans-national dialogue and social discourse through artist development, education, and live performance.
